Journal # 12
In the last class the teacher wrote on the blackboard a new theme about unit 10. In this topic we learned about future the formula: 1- subject / will /verb / rest. 2- subject / will / be / verb ing / rest. 3- subject / will/ have / v.p.p /rest, the professor read and explained the page 67 then we made practice the future with will.
Also we made the page 65 referring to time in the past, this is obout when to use: during, in, from, for, to, since and ago. Use: during, in and ago a point or period of time in the past for example: during the 1940s. In the 1940s. Over 70 years ago and since, for, from and to use a period of time that continues into the present for example: how long has the United Nations been in existence? Since 1945. For about the last 70 years. How long were the beatles togeder? From 1960 to 1970. For ten years.
After we studied the unit 10 language summary (vocaulary) also we made groups to speak about page 64 the past and the future. My group was formed by Darlyn and Adriana and we spoke about the images on the page for example the first Barbie, disco becomes the latest dance craze, millions of rubik’s cubes are sold and other. I remember saying that my favorite toy was a Barbie and I made her clothes at Christmas always gave me Barbies and I very happy about it. Adriana said “I combed and painted the hair of my barbies” and Darlyn said: “I do not liked the barbies I liked tonka trucks”
Then some classmates and teacher talked about the images and tv programs. Also we made listening and we did the practice of the page 66 Word power historic events. Again we practice listening of page 68, to perfect futures and we wrote down two changes for the each topic.
Then we did read a lecture of page 69 about tweet to eat and we answered the questions. Also we read by two minutes the song number 6 “Changes” and then we heard the song after some classmates comment the message of the song and then we listen again.
In the last class also we practice ted talk about Magnus Walker (Go with you gut feeling) it was very long and nobody understood, for me it was very difficult. Finally the teacher asked the exam groups that come together to study or to practice.
For me the last class was very long, gave time to do more and more things but I liked because I understood the themes that we saw.
